"When I was young I was taken away from my parents and put in foster care. The social services decided to clamp down on my parents, there were very few minor problems with my family. I was in care for four years altogether, I first went into care when I was fourteen and then I came out two years later to live with my father, subsequently, my father was unable to take care of me so I ended up going back into care again. I did not have the best of experiences, I have run away from my foster family several times.
The experiences I had as a child were not easy, but I believe they made me into the person I am today. Now I am twenty-one and currently living on my own. It feels great to be independent!
The future is certainly bright, lot's of things to look forward to. I am coming over to Manchester quite often to see my girlfriend.
Also, I have developed an interest in computers; I want to become a computer technician, I would like study it and get a formal qualification. Then Hopefully in the future move to Manchester - I think it is a much better place than Ireland, it is pretty big and very diverse, in Ireland, it still feels quite divided."
